Oakwood Farms of Barrington Hills, LLC is a private state-of-the-art equestrian Training and Breeding facility that has been providing private quality care for horses since 1995. We are not open to the public, however private lessons can be arranged by appointment with our personal trainers Randy Manuel, Katie Rose, Fatima Kranz, Jamie Price and Bridget Pickett. Meredith Halas is Oakwood's Managers and has her Degree in Equine Science. Oakwood has English riders, 3 Day Eventing riders, Western riders, Hunter/Jumper riders and horses along with school horses, that range from bomb-proof beginner horses, to experienced upper level prelim horses. Oakwood has:
- Two barns with 60 stalls
- 24 private paddocks
- 3 large pastures
- New sand arena
- New 90x 150 indoor heated arena
- Indoor heated wash rack with hot water
- Heated viewing room
- Heated tack room, viewing room and social area
- Two fully stocked grooming stalls
- Security cameras throughout Barn
Across the street is the Cook County Forest Preserve with an indoor and outdoor arena, and a novice-prelim x-country course. Oakwood has supplies, horses, and breeding facilities to meet all your, and your personal horse needs, wants, and expectations. We are also remodeling our barns and will be increasing our number of stalls! The upper barn is fully insulated and has an indoor wash rack as well as hot water. Twenty-four hour vet care is available for all of our horses on site. Share Board Horses are also available!
